Abstract An increase of 7 GHz in the industrial, scientific and medical ISM band around 60 has opened it up for many modern wireless applications such as 5G. This means that new component designs can cater this large bandwidth are need hour. The design a bandwidth, completely planar high gain novel Vivaldi antenna is presented. Being travelling wave implemented using single metal layer make an excellent candidate not only Printed Circuit Board based but also lossy Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor technology. For first time, feed integrated on same conductor itself. Using technique problem thin gap between layers been mitigated. final measured results show goes above beyond with matching performance from 55 to 84 GHz. A dBi maintained over 57–75 radiation efficiency almost 80%. quite suitable integration millimetre‐wave transceiver system support data rate applications.
